At RLH Developments we have a particular focus on Health & Safety compliance and in providing ongoing training and retraining to all of our surveyors and operatives to ensure that we maintain best-practice standards at all times.

All of our surveyors have the CSRT and/or the CSSW qualification in surveying; contract managers have SSSTS Certification; and all operatives have CSCS cards. In addition, we are currently supporting all of our operatives to obtain NVQ Level 2 in Damp Proofing and Wood Preserving. We include sub-contractors along with staff in all of our health and safety training programs, to ensure that all of our surveyors and operatives are trained to the same exacting standards.

We hold monthly toolbox talks for all Operatives covering latest guidance on health and safety and working practices as well as regular reminders of key issues – e.g. asbestos awareness, working at height, face fitting, manual handling, PPE etc. These days also incorporate monthly van checks to ensure that all protective equipment, first aid, health and safety, ladder checks and client identity information is up to date and complete.

In addition to our monthly toolbox talks, we hold an annual training away day for the whole team. These days are run by expert external training providers to ensure that our operatives receive the highest quality.
