Supervisor

The role is a full-time position offering a competitive salary, commensurate with skills and previous experience. Company van & pension included within package.

Experience & responsibilities:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Fully conversant with current Health & Safety and CDM Regulations
  • Strong communications skills at all levels both verbal & written
  • Excellent team leader skills
  • Issue specifications to operatives, ensure properties are ready before commencement of works
  • Manage the works and liaise with clients as necessary
  • Ensure works are properly and safely completed to a high standard & within timescale
  • Attendance of regular site & CDM meetings
  • Attend client tool box talks & carry out monthly in house tool box talks
  • Liaise with Health & Safety for PPE issue, vehicle checks etc
  • CSCS, SMSTS, PASMA, UKATA Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, Working at Height preferred or willing to undergo training
  • Working closely with relevant teams ensuring clear instruction has been given in relation to works and completed to the required specification
  • Daily communication/reporting to Contracts Manager to ensure they are aware of current issues and/or areas of concern/satisfaction in relation to contracts and work being undertaken, including obtaining prior approval before any additional work is carried out
  • To assist the Contracts Manager with any additional ad-hock operative related work that may need attention to ensure the smooth running of related jobs
  • Good joinery skills to include replacing timber floors, skirting boards, door frames, architraves, windows, doors and studding
  • A practical working knowledge of ancillary general building trades
  • Conscientious and tidy
  • Full UK Driving License

Freelance CSTDB (CSRT) & CSSW Remedial Surveyor Required

We are looking to recruit on a Freelance basis a CSTDB (CSRT) & CSSW qualified surveyor to join our team based in Croydon to carry out detailed damp and timber surveys including scheduling of works using SOR’s, produce reports and complete associated RAMS.

Experience & responsibilities:

  • Valid CSCS Card
  • UKATA Asbestos Awareness & Working At Height
  • Good literacy skills
  • Excellent team leader skills
  • Attend site and inspect for dampness, timber decay and infestation of wood boring beetles
  • Prepare accurate, clear and concise reports outlining the defects and the causes of defects within the property and the correct remedial measures required including costings and drawings
